Arnold Clapmar (Klapmeier), o, latinamente, Arnoldus Clapmarius (1574-1604). «Born in Bremen in 1574, [Clapmar] studied at the universities of Helmstedt, Heidelberg, and Marburg, traveled throughout Germany, the Low Countries, and England, and by the age of twenty-six (1600) was appointed professor of politics and history at the University of Altdorf. His early death came only four years later, in 1604, and he left behind an extraordinary number of finished and unfinished works on political and legal subjects» (Peter S.
